However, music industry giant, Simon Cowell is launching a roulette based game show on ITV television network that could see seven millionaires in a week. The winners will be determined when contestants guess whether red or black wins with the spin of a roulette wheel.The final winner of £ 1, 000,000 will have to battle out with several other contestants in several extreme bets such as guessing if a stuntman jumping out of an airplane will grab a red or black parachute as he falls or whether the next baby born in a maternity hospital ward will be a girl or a boy. The game show is not about skill or talent; it boils down to pure luck. It will be characterized by nail biting moments as contestants rely on their gut feeling for a chance to win a million pounds. For every single day of the week there will be a participant in front of a giant roulette wheel and bet whether the red or black wins. The first stage of the show will be filmed in the Wembley Arena where thousands of contestants will have to predict the outcome of a series of ostentatious outcomes based on the roulette’s red or black theme. Those who guess correctly will proceed to the next elimination rounds which are ten in total. In the final round, there will be seven lucky contestants who will have an equal chance of proceeding to the final round and win a million pounds. The winner will then spin a wheel for a chance to win the £ 1, 000,000 by guessing whether the arrow on the giant wheel will fall on red or black. The show will be called Red or Black, in continuation of the overall theme of the game and it will be hosted by Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly and it will broadcast every night of the week later this year on ITV. The Red or Black game show will not involve gambling as participants will not use their own money. They will only be risking their luck by guessing whether the outcome of an event is red or black. Viewers have already applied to participate in the pilot episode of the show and the show is set to start screening live from July in the Wembley Arena.Red or Black will have the same layout as the other Cowell’s ITV1 shows such as the X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent which were also filmed in an arena stage with viewers following the contestants’ journeys from the early rounds to the final spin of the big Red or Black wheel. The show will feature some high profile guests with Cowell featuring in one of the sections of the show as a participant in the stunts.
