There are many stories that you have probably heard being told here and there about success. People have said that you should associate with the successful so that you can rub off from them. Well the best thing you can do to be successful if you have capital, is investing.There is a story in the Bible that talks of the talents. Talents here can be interpreted as gifts of the body or money. For this subject let me interpret it as money. Certain three men were given talents according to their abilities by their master. If the master thought that one of them was more able than the other he would give the one who is able more talents. This does not mean that the one given the least is not able to do anything. May be if you are given one talent, it means that you can do a lot with it such that it will surpass all the others combined. Well, the master gave one of the servants five talents, to another he gave two and to another he gave one. The master told the servants not to fail him in whatever they plan to do with the talents as he was going for a trip. Keep in mind that this master is easily angered. The one with the five talents went and performed some business and he managed to double his talents. With the help of simple mathematics that tells you that his talents were now ten. The one who was given two also went ahead with his business and managed to double his talents. Again simple mathematics tells you that his talents were now four. The one with one was quite afraid of the easily angered master and so he went and hid his talent under the sand. Talk about the proverbial ostrich. When the master returned from the trip he summoned his servants so that he could hear and perhaps reward what the servants had done with their talents. The one who was given five appeared in front of his master and told him that he did a business and has now doubled his investment to ten. The master was proud of him and rewarded him. The one with four also appeared and showed him that he has doubled his talents. He was also rewarded. The one with one came and said that he feared the wrath of his master and so hid his talent so that the master could find it the way it was. The master was angry and chased him away. If we do not invest, we are likely to be chased to the grave as poor. You have probably heard of many investment ideas but the most outstanding is investing in gold and silver.
