Friends and family come together to celebrate various dates on the calendars all over the world with divine celebration which are at most held every year; the days marked on the calendars are points of interaction of different communities of people and they are thus times for chilling and free interaction or specific activities. They are clearly outlined in calendars and national gazettes if they apply to all or even to significant few. National holidays nonetheless are descendent from the government of a country and could also be relative to other countries stipulated and public holidays and outlined for the knowledge of the public. In Some countries where there exists more than one religion, the public holidays are well outlined and are almost the same as national holidays, so that the country remains in harmony as the different religions mark the festivals on international public holidays. Many of these public holidays are not only meant for celebration purposes but also to appreciate the magnitude of events and timeliness, common school holidays are marked to give the children the needed attention and mainly for child development the likes of children’s day, teachers’ day and youth day. Some national holidays are also reason for school holidays by virtue of the meaning of the day, Independence Day which is patriotic to everybody and has to be respected by all. Public holidays are meant to be observed under the countries policies and although they may vary in different countries, most businesses and public amenities have to be closed on these days as will be observed in the public holiday 2012.When visiting a country of your choice where you are unfamiliar about the calendar or even if you have been on business in a region and do not understand the holidays, it is good to check or ask around or go online to confirm the dates. This will help you plan your leaves and figure out how the public holidays will affect your pay and entitlement. This will also be a great facility to understand whether your employment or business contract flows with the dates and settle it with your employer so that you are not inconvenienced.
